Six-time Grammy-award-winning singer Brandi Carlile will headline the Healey-Driscoll inaugural celebration at TD Garden.
Gov.-Elect Maura Healey stated Carlile was the “perfect” entertainer to headline her inaugural ball on Thursday, saying that the singer-songwriter’s music “spans genres and explores themes of women’s empowerment, LGBTQ+ history and the joy of community.”
“I’ve been a fan of Brandi’s music for a long time, and it is so special that she will be a part of our inauguration,” Healey, the primary lady elected governor of Massachusetts and the primary lesbain governor within the nation, stated in a press release. “I can’t think of a more perfect musician to bring us together for this celebration.”
Carlile has launched seven studio albums. Her most up-to-date, “In These Silent Days,” is nominated for seven Grammy Awards this 12 months, together with the coveted “record” and “album of the year” classes.
