Aurangabad : Municipal commissioner Astik Kumar Pandey has beautified the Kham river located in the city by better cleaning it with public cooperation. The names of the leaders were given to the small gardens built in the Kham River. BJP is not digesting this thing. BJP city president Sanjay Kenekar on Tuesday visited the premises where the Kham river was beautified and tried to remove the boards with the names of BJP leaders. In the meantime, the Municipal Corporation Astik Kumar Pandey contacted Kenekar and assured to remove the names of the leaders soon. After which BJP officials and workers returned from there.
Last month, on Republic Day, the State Tourism Minister Aaditya Thackeray inaugurated a complex developed with public cooperation in Kham river without using government funds. Various parks created in the Kham river were given the names of ministers, MLAs and MPs. This thing could not be digested by the BJP leaders. BJP officials have been pressurizing Municipal Administrator Astik Kumar Pandey to remove the names of the leaders for the past fortnight. On the other hand, the Municipal Administrator Pandey is in power to remove the board named after the leaders.

In the past, BJP’s national leader and former city mayor Vijaya Rahatkar had also written a strict letter to the municipal commissioner demanding that the names of leaders given to the parks of Kham river be removed. On Tuesday, under the leadership of BJP President Sanjay Kenekar, BJP officials had reached the Kham river to remove the boards of leaders’ names. On coming to know about this, Municipal Corporation Astik Kumar Pandey contacted BJP City President Sanjay Kenekar and assured to remove all the boards in the next three to four days. On this occasion party’s city general secretaries Sameer Rajurkar, Deepak Khotkar, Sameer Lokhande, Rahul Dandge, Deepak Khotkar, Shailesh Hekade, Suraj Hivrale, Sagar Prasad, Amol Lambe, Mukesh Chitrak, Raj Rathod, Dnyaneshwar Tak etc. were present.
