Mumbai: The BJP has started a strong front to defeat Shiv Sena in the BMC elections in Mumbai. After the presentation of the budget of BMC, where BJP is busy surrounding Shiv Sena on issues of public interest, on the other hand BJP has formed election steering committees regarding BMC elections. Under this, 25 committees have been constituted. In the last BMC elections, the then Mumbai BJP President and former minister Ashish Shelar, who took the number of BJP corporators to 82, has been given a big responsibility. He has been made the chairman of the election steering committee. It will not be an exaggeration if it is said that BJP will contest the elections under Shelar’s leadership.
MP Gopal Shetty, MPs Poonam Mahajan and Manoj Kotak and Kirit Somaiya have been included as special invitees in the election steering committee.
Announcement of 25 Committees
Recently, in the presence of Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Devendra Fadnavis, a meeting of Mumbai BJP Working Committee was held under the chairmanship of Mumbai BJP President Mangal Prabhat Lodha at his residence. in which the strategy was made. Later Devendra Fadnavis and state president Chandrakant Patil discussed the preparations for the BMC elections, after which 25 committees including the election steering committee have been announced.
