Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Education Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Vasudev Devnani on Friday criticized Maharana Pratap (Politics on Maharana Pratap) for the statements of State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra. Criticized and said that the statement of the Congress leader is an insult to Pratap who had sacrificed his life to protect the pride of the motherland. In fact, Dotasara had said on Thursday, “The Maharana Pratap-Akbar fight was for power struggle and the BJP has given it a religious colour.”
BJP MLA Devnani said, “Mahatma Gandhi had praised Pratap’s bravery at the Round Table Conference in London. Even Vietnam had spoken of taking inspiration from the Haldighati war. After the formation of the state government, there is a constant conspiracy to weaken the glorious history of great men. He said in the tweet that Maharana Pratap did not allow the self-respect of Mewar to fall even after fighting his whole life for the pride and freedom of the motherland and facing many difficulties. He said, “To call the struggle for freedom of such Mahavir and sacrificer as a struggle for power is a sign of frustrated mentality.”

Devnani said, “State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara is continuously insulting the bravery and sacrifice of Maharana Pratap for the sake of Muslim vote bank. In the affair of appeasement, they have tried to tarnish the golden history of Maharana by calling the struggle for the pride of the motherland a struggle for power. It is worth mentioning that while addressing the Congress workers at the district level two-day training camp in Nagaur on Thursday, Dotasara had said that Maharana Pratap and Akbar’s fight was for power struggle, BJP has given it a religious color.
