Pushpam Priya came into the limelight on 8 March 2020 when she named herself the next Chief Ministerial candidate of Bihar by giving a two-page advertisement in newspapers. Pushpam Priya Chaudhary comes from a political family. His grandfather Umakant Chaudhary has been one of the founding members of JDU. Father Vinod Chaudhary has been JLC’s MLC, his term has ended recently. Pushpam went to the Bihar Assembly Election by creating a separate party called ‘The Plurals’. The party’s logo was kept as a white horse and the party’s slogan was ‘Jana Gana Sabka Sarkar’. Pushpam Priya’s uncle Vinay Chaudhary is fighting from Benipur on a JDU ticket.

Pushpam Priya tried to give tickets to social workers, teachers, doctors and other professionals with a clean image in her first election. In front of Pushpam Priya in Patna’s Bankipur Assembly seat, Love Sinha, son of Shatrughan Sinha from Congress, three-time MLA from BJP Nitin Naveen is contesting elections and Nitin is leading. Pushpam Priya had challenged all the Chief Minister’s contenders, including Nitish Kumar to Tejashwi Yadav, to contest the elections in Bankipur seat. On the Bisfi seat of Madhubani district, in front of Pushpam Priya, Fayaz Ahmed from RJD and Haribhushan Thakur from BJP are the candidates and Haribhushan is leading.
