Mumbai: Bharatiya Janata Party MLA and Union Minister Narayan Rane’s son Nitesh Rane has got a big relief from the Bombay High Court. The court will pronounce its verdict on January 17 on the anticipatory bail plea filed by Rane in the alleged attempt to murder case. With this, the court has also stayed the arrest till the next hearing.
The court has completed hearing on the bail plea filed by Rane. With this, it will give its verdict on the coming Monday. With this, the court has ordered the Maharashtra government not to arrest Rane till the decision comes.
Bombay High Court asserted that Maharashtra govt’s undertaking of ‘No coercive action’ against BJP MLA Nitesh Rane to continue till Monday, January 17.

A case of murder was registered on the joke
Earlier on Wednesday, during the hearing of the petition, Rane’s lawyer Nitin Pradhan had told the court that, “An FIR was registered against his client so that his participation in the bank elections could be stopped after the incident of mockery.”
Pradhan told the court, “The incident of teasing and sarcasm by shouting ‘meow’ outside Vidhan Bhavan on December 23, 2021 had hurt the ruling party and its leaders took it as an insult. Some Shiv Sena leaders had even said that my client (Rane) will be taught a lesson.
What is the whole matter?
During the campaigning for Sindhudurg District Co-Operative Bank elections, a local Shiv Sena worker was allegedly attacked, for which Shiv Sena workers blamed Nitesh Rane. After which a case was registered by Kankavali police in Sindhudurg district under sections-307 (attempt to murder), 120(b) (criminal conspiracy) and 34 (common intention) of IPC.
