The United Front said in a statement that all shops, malls, markets and institutions will remain closed under the entire Bharat bandh. All short and long routes will be disrupted and trains will be stopped. All services except ambulance and other essential services will be discontinued. The impact of the Bharat Bandh will also be seen in Delhi. The agitating farmers were appealed to maintain peace during the bandh and not to engage in any wrong discussion or confrontation.
120 days of peasant movement
According to the United Kisan Morcha, ‘Bharat Bandh’ is being done on the completion of 120 days of the Kisan agitation. Thousands of farmers are protesting against the new agricultural laws on the borders of Delhi. Many opposition parties have also supported the bandh. Farmers’ organizations have announced that on March 28, they will burn copies of the new laws on Holika Dahan. At the same time, the ‘Confederation of All India Traders’ i.e. CAIT said that markets will be open on March 26, because it is not involved in ‘Bharat Bandh’.
No effect in election states
According to the United Kisan Morcha, India will be closed on 26 March as a whole. The United Kisan Morcha has said that the states and Union Territories where elections are to be held will be kept separate from Bharat Bandh on March 26. Last time, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand were exempted. This time, farmer leaders are claiming that on March 26, the impact of the Bharat Bandh will be seen inside Delhi as well.
What will be closed, where discount
In the meantime, there are plans to disrupt rail and road traffic. Places like shops and dairy will be closed. From 6 am to 6 pm, public places will also be closed. At the same time, according to farmer leaders, no company or factory will be closed. Necessary places like petrol pump, medical store, general store will be open. Medical and ambulance services will continue.
