New Delhi: The outbreak of Coronavirus Pandemic continues in the country. The cases of rising COVID (COVID-19) in the country have raised concerns. Due to which many states have implemented strictness. The fun of festivals has become gritty due to COVID. Today is the bath of Makar Sankranti 2022, but the Haridwar administration has banned bathing as a precaution. Police personnel were deployed in large numbers in the entire area. The administration has made strict arrangements to prevent people from visiting Har Ki Pauri and other Ganga Ghats. On the other hand, both Magh Mela and Kalpwas are starting from today in Prayagraj, UP.
At the same time, Haridwar’s CO City Shekhar Suyal said that the government had issued COVID guidelines, which we are implementing. We are sending people to those ghats where crowd can be handled well as per COVID guidelines. Those who are coming to take bath from other states are being refused and sent back.

It should be noted that due to the ban on bathing, all the ghats including Har Ki Pauri are visible. This morning only a few people have been able to attend the Ganga Aarti. Whereas three lakhs have gathered for Ganga bath in Gangasagar of Bengal. Both Magh Mela and Kalpvas are starting in Prayagraj from today. On this day lakhs of devotees reach here from abroad.
