JaipurRajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday alleged that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) did not play any role in the freedom struggle and that the same guilt is in the top leadership of BJP and RSS.
Addressing the state level convention of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee at Birla Auditorium, Gehlot said that Congress leaders have made many sacrifices before and after independence. He said that the people of BJP and RSS are suffering from some kind of guilt.
Gehlot alleged, “BJP works to get power by inciting religious and caste sentiments. Fascist forces are dominating the country and there is an atmosphere of fear in the country. Media is working under pressure and ED and Income Tax are being misused by the Central Government. He said that the Congress has always been strong in Rajasthan and that is why everyone has to support Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in combating the fascist forces.

Gehlot said that if any leader is competing against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the country, it is Rahul Gandhi. He said that the whole country knows that only Congress can challenge the fascist forces, so all Congress workers should go to village-village, Dhani-Dhani and work to strengthen the organization.
Chief Minister Gehlot alleged that Rahul is leaving no stone unturned to raise the issue against the wrong policies of the Modi government at the Center, but the media is not getting support. He said that the government had gone on the issue of Bofors, however, slogans of Rajiv Gandhi Zindabad were raised when soldiers used Bofors artillery in the Kargil war. Gehlot alleged that scams are taking place in the country through electoral bonds and 90 per cent of electoral bonds are with the BJP. He also targeted the central government regarding the PM Cares Fund.
He said that the culture of Congress was created during the time of Mahatma Gandhi, that is why the ‘DNA’ of Congress and ‘DNA’ of the country are one. During his address, he also mentioned the development works done during the tenure of the Congress governments. Ajay Maken, General Secretary of All India Congress Committee and in-charge of Rajasthan also addressed the convention through video conferencing.
