Hours after he was removed from BharatPe, Ashneer Grover took to social media to express his anger against the board by writing a post and said that he has never had any problem even sleeping on the ground. Earlier, BharatPe on Wednesday removed Ashneer Grover from the post of managing director of the company, alleging misappropriation of the company’s money and also stripped him of the right to be called co-founders of BharatPe.
In a post on LinkedIn, Ashneer said that the company has accused him of leading a luxurious life, even though he has never had a problem sleeping on the floor.
Ashneer wrote in the post, “I have a really lavish lifestyle. I am openly invited by my friends to their homes where I don’t mind sleeping on the floor.” Along with this, Ashneer has also shared a photo, in which a bed is seen lying on the floor to sleep.

Ashneer further wrote, “This is all while I am in the US and the United Kingdom to raise $ 370 million Series E funding. And I have the right to stay in good hotels and credit cards issued by the company. Pay it through. People who have never built anything from the beginning will never understand the mentality of a founder.”
On the allegations leveled against him, Ashneer Grover said that he is saddened by it, but he is not surprised by it and said that such allegations are possible only through personal hatred and small thinking. “Lavish for me is my dreams and the ability to fulfill them through hard work and efforts,” he said.
Earlier, BharatPe had leveled serious allegations against Ashneer Grover, saying, “The Grover family and their relatives were involved in massive misappropriation of company funds, which included creating fake vendors. Through this, he has withdrawn funds from the company’s expense account and misused it to enrich himself and in his lavish lifestyle.”
The company also said that it reserves the right to take legal action against the cofounder, who resigned as managing director and board director yesterday ahead of the board meeting on Tuesday.
