With the arrival of Makar Sankrant festival, the craze of kite flying starts increasing in the city. Pants of different colors fly high in the sky. From children to the elderly, they are colored in this kite flying. But when the kite-flying happening in the city and street will invite accidents, it cannot be told. Accident had come from this manja last year.
According to the report of MH Twenty 29, which works for wildlife conservation, more than 200 birds die every year in the district due to nylon manja and many civilians are injured. Recently, a few days ago, in this nylon manja, Attock had killed a Shikra species bird in the city. Also a pigeon, a stork bird has been seriously injured by getting stuck in the kite’s mane. In Pusad tehsil of the district, a civilian was seriously injured after a nylon manja stuck on his face.
Demand to ban nylon manja
MH 29 This wildlife organization has submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police Dilip Patil Bhujbal to ban nylon manja. Taking that memorandum seriously, the District Superintendent of Police has given a positive response. He has assured to give instructions to take action by campaigning on the sellers of banned nylon and Chinese manja. Nilesh Meshram, Suraj Khobragade, Rohit Borkar, Bobby Bagmare, Moreshwar More were present while giving the memorandum.
Manja should be banned as soon as possible
Regarding wildlife, the team of MH 29 has been working for the last many years for natural conservation and wildlife conservation. The nylon manja of the kite poses a big threat to the lives of the animal birds. Such incidents have come to the fore in the last few days. Because of which the administration should ban the sale of nylon manja as soon as possible.
