Nationalist Congress Party minister Nawab Malik on Wednesday made fresh allegations against zonal director of Narcotics Control Bureau Samir Wankhede by presenting his purported nikahnama (Muslim marriage certificate), a day after his wife and sister denied all charges.

The new revelations came a day after Redkar-Wankhede and Yasmin Wankhede-Wankhede’s wife and sister were asked to challenge the minister to resort to personal attacks and kitchen politics and prove their charges before the courts .
His anger over the serial revelations on Wankhede by Malik in the last three weeks came to the fore on Tuesday with the most shocking claim that over Rs 1,000 crore has been extorted from Bollywood people in Mumbai and Maldives.
The contention of the minister in the Maharashtra government is that despite being a Muslim, Wankhede allegedly submitted a forged caste certificate to get a central government job under the Scheduled Caste quota. Which was vehemently denied by Wankhede’s father, sister and others.
The NCP leaders are now planning to send all the documents to the caste verification committee for scrutiny and necessary action. Malik’s independent investigation in the backdrop of Wankhede and allegations of corruption in the NCB has added to the woes of many in the central probe agency. It has also given rise to a major political controversy with a series of allegations and counter-allegations.
