Pune: The Dattawadi Police of Pune has arrested an accused who spread chaos by keeping the status of a dead crook, for allegedly threatening him with a pistol. This action has been taken on Sinhagad Road. A pistol and two live cartridges have been recovered from him. The arrested person has been identified as Chandrakant alias Chandu Tulsiram Mane (age 20). A case has been registered in this regard at Dattawadi police station.
Instructions have been given to the local police to check the rising crime in the city. In the same background, patrolling is being done along the border of the police stations. Simultaneously, an eye is being kept on the vicious criminals in the inn. Meanwhile, while patrolling the Dattawadi police station, police constables Kundan Shinde and Rahul Olekar came to know through an informer that the status of Sujit Verma, a deceased criminal in Hadapsar, was being posted on social media, causing panic among his friends.

Also, three days ago, one had taken out a pistol after an altercation with friends in Panmala area. He is currently standing on the footpath in Sinhagad Road area. The accused had come to Pune from Latur area two years ago to prepare for police recruitment. He had earlier appeared in the Army Recruitment Exam at Beed. He has undergone a few months pre-recruitment training at a private academy in Vishrantwadi area. However, it is learned that he had taken a pistol from some criminal friends in Hadapsar area. That’s why he has become a criminal. He also ordered a lighter which looked exactly like a real pistol to mislead the police. However, the police conducted a thorough investigation and caught the accused. He has already used pistol in some criminal activities. Is he and who are his accomplices? Its investigation is on.
