Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has once again appeared before the Chandiwal Commission probing corruption allegations on Tuesday. Deshmukh has been made serious allegations of corruption by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh. Deshmukh has been accused of extortion of Rs 100 crore. Apart from Deshmukh, sacked Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waje has also reached the commission to appear before the commission. Deshmukh was arrested by the ED in a money laundering case.
Earlier, Special PMLA Court Judge HS Satbhai had allowed the warrant for Deshmukh to be produced before the Justice KU Chandiwal Commission. The Maharashtra government had constituted a single-member commission of Justice (retd) Chandiwal to probe the corruption allegations leveled by Parambir Singh against Deshmukh.

Earlier, apart from Deshmukh, sacked Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waje and former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh have also appeared before the commission. Waje was first arrested by the NIA, after which he was taken into custody by the Mumbai Police.
