Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday requested All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Hyderabad Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi to ensure that the security provided to him by the central government , accept it immediately.
Giving details of the attack on Owaisi’s convoy in Uttar Pradesh, Amit Shah, in a statement in the Rajya Sabha, said that after re-assessing his threat and based on his threat assessment, Owaisi will be given a bullet proof car as well as a pan-India The security of the Z category of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been provided at the level.
He said that oral information was sent to us by Owaisi that he still refused to take security. I would like to humbly request Owaisi through the House to take immediate security and address the concerns of all of us.

Amit Shah said that on several occasions in the past, the central government has issued instructions to provide security to Owaisi based on threat assessment by central security agencies, but due to Owaisi’s reluctance to seek security, he was given security by Delhi Police and Telangana Police. Attempts to provide security were unsuccessful.
He said that on February 3, at around 5:20 pm, Owaisi was returning to Delhi after conducting a public relations program from Kithor in Meerut and when his convoy was passing through Chhijarsi toll plaza, Pilkhuwa, two unidentified persons opened fire on his convoy. Went.
The Home Minister said that Owaisi escaped safely in the incident but three bullet marks were noticed in the lower part of his vehicle and it was also seen by three witnesses. He said that an FIR has been registered in the matter under various sections and its investigation is being done.
Shah also said on this occasion that Owaisi had no pre-scheduled program nor was any prior information given to the district control room from his side regarding the movement. He said that Owaisi reached Delhi safely. The spot was inspected by senior officers of the district. In the course of investigation, the local police, taking quick action, arrested two accused and recovered two unauthorized pistols and an Alto car from them.
Amit Shah said that the spot and the vehicle are being investigated by the forensic team and evidence is being collected. He said that both the accused are being interrogated by the Uttar Pradesh Police and the law and order situation in the district is under control and strict vigil is being maintained there.
He said that the Central Government has also received a report from the State Government regarding the developments. Let us tell you that on Thursday evening, when Owaisi was returning to Delhi after campaigning in view of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, his convoy was attacked near Chhijarsi toll of Hapur.
