Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday 19 October flagged off the Modi Van under the Seva hi Sangathan program of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The party has started this mission on the occasion of completion of 20 years in the government of PM Modi. In a statement issued by the BJP, it has been said that the Modi van has been launched under the Seva Ki Sangathan program.
PM Modi was appointed Chief Minister for the first time on 7 October 2001. According to news agency ANI, this special van will be operated from Kaushambi Vikas Parishad. BJP’s national secretary and Lok Sabha MP from Kaushambi in Uttar Pradesh, Vinod Sonkar has taken responsibility for this. Five vans will roam the five assemblies of Kaushambi.

According to the report, 5 Modi vans will roam in the five assemblies of Kaushambi. MP Vinod Sonkar while talking about the specialty of Mogi van said that they have 32-inch television and they are fully equipped with high speed internet service. These vans will broadcast Prime Minister Modi’s Mann Ki Baat program from place to place, as well as show his election rallies and speeches to the public.
Sonkar told the media that five Modi vans would be operated in five assembly constituencies of Kaushambi district. There will be one van for each constituency. These will be operated from a control room. He said each van would have 32-inch television and high-speed internet services to broadcast PM Modi’s monthly Mann Ki Baat radio address as well as his public rallies and speeches.
The Modi van will also help in promoting vaccination against the corona virus disease in remote villages. Talking about its features, the BJP leader said that the van has a telemedicine, as well as a machine that can test 39 blood samples at a time. Apart from this, the van will also issue a weekly medical bulletin.
Also, vehicles will be used to take oath to the people to keep the villages clean and plastic free. Pledge to conserve water will also be administered from these vans. The MP informed that the van will help in registration of people for several central schemes like Widow Pension, Disability Pension and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. They will also inform the villagers about the ongoing government schemes.
PM Modi became the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the first time on 7 October 2001, and was re-elected twice thereafter. In September 2013, he was appointed as the PM candidate of BJP for the Lok Sabha elections. BJP won 282 seats in 2014 under the leadership of PM Modi. Then the number of seats of the saffron party increased to 303 in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. After this PM Modi was elected Prime Minister for the second time.
