Lucknow: Claiming that the BJP-led alliance will win over 300 seats in the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday attacked the opposition parties and said that they are in power in the state. While living, these parties worked for only a few castes.
He said that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form the government in Uttar Pradesh by winning more than 300 seats. Assembly elections are to be held in the state early next year. Shah was addressing a joint rally of BJP and Nishad Party ‘Sarkar Banao, Adhikar Pao’ at the Ramabai Ambedkar rally site here.

He said, “Whenever Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) formed government in Uttar Pradesh, they worked only for their castes. But, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked for all the backward castes and in the interest of the poor people.”
Shah also said that criminals and mafia elements have been uprooted under the rule of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said that in the previous governments there was the rule of mafia and development of the poor could not take place, but development could take place under the rule of law of Yogi Adityanath.
