Counting of votes is underway in Rajasthan after the elections to Alwar and Dholpur Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti. But out of these, two Zilla Parishad members and 13 Panchayat Samiti members have been elected unopposed, while in one constituency of Panchayat Samiti Umrain, the post remained vacant due to no nomination papers being found correct. Elections were held at both the places in three phases. These elections are being considered as a test of strength of Congress and BJP. The election is being seen as an opinion poll about the Ashok Gehlot government. In view of the tug of war between Gehlot and Sachin Pilot, people’s eyes are on the results of this election.

Out of these, 2 Zilla Parishad members and 13 Panchayat Samiti members have been elected unopposed, while in 1 constituency of Panchayat Samiti Umrain, the post remained vacant due to no nomination papers being found correct.
