All About Alcohol: Goa is popular as a favorite destination among travel enthusiasts and is also unofficially considered as the ‘Party Capital’. On this tourist place famous for ‘Beach’, the museum is very low in the list of places to visit for tourists, but now it may come up. Businessman and collector Nandan Kudchadkar has started a new venture with the art of drinking which can entice tourists.
Nandan has opened a Goa-style tavern, ‘All About Museum’, which houses antique glassware from all over the world. This beach is spread over 13 thousand square feet in the village Candolin. In this you will get information about Goa culture and methods of making liquor. The main focus in this museum is on Goa’s wine, which is known as Feni.

You will get complete information about Feni
The five-room museum documents how Feni is made and transported by distillation from fermented cashew apples. Apart from this, information about how it has been used for centuries will also be found here. The walls of the room are covered with thousands of colored garrafo (large glass bottles filled). It will take about half an hour to visit this museum and tourists are taken by Armando Duarte, a resident of Goa. After visiting, visitors will also be able to taste feni cocktails.
Apart from Feni, these things are also in the museum.
It is not that there is only feni in the museum, but many things related to alcohol will be seen here. A rare crystal of Australian beer horn brought from Russia, an old wooden claim maker, ancient mud pots, beakers, 16th century measuring instruments and glassware from around the world. Nandan researched for about a year for this museum and understood the history and culture of alcohol and linked it to the unique story of Goa.
The idea of opening this museum came during the corona epidemic
The idea of opening such a museum came in Nandan’s mind during the Corona epidemic. It was opened on August 13 and there are plans to add five more rooms next month. Nandan has a valuable collection which will be expanded and brought to the public. Nandan said that Bollywood portrays Goans as drunkards but in reality it is not so, rather Goans know how to drink.
