Pimpri: In the new year, the municipal administration has once again started preparing to open a front against unauthorized construction in Pimpri-Chinchwad city. In order to give strength and speed to the action, the Municipal Corporation has planned to spend Rs 2.5 crore to provide eight regional office wise machinery. With this it is certain that the city standing at the mouth of the municipal elections will now intensify the crackdown here.
The issue of unauthorized construction in Pimpri-Chinchwad city has become complicated. In the year 2012, there was a record of 66 thousand unauthorized constructions in the city. There has been a tremendous increase in the number of unauthorized constructions in these nine years. Illegal construction is rampant all over the city. The increase in the number of unauthorized constructions is staggering. In the period of two and a half years of the Corona epidemic, the action on unauthorized construction had gone into cold storage. The proceedings have been stayed on the orders of the High Court. However, now once again the municipal administration has decided to take action.

For this the tender was published by the Municipal Corporation. The period of supply of machinery is twelve months. A tender worth Rs. Sameer Enterprises and Reborn Construction both participated in the tender process. Since the tender of Sameer Enterprises was received at a lower rate of 12.09 per cent, Commissioner Rajesh Patil decided to tender it.
