Pune: Irregularities have been detected in the recruitment of employees in the recently incorporated 20 Gram Panchayats in the Pune Municipal Corporation. Chargesheet has been filed against 22 officers in this case. Out of them 16 people have been suspended, while notices have been sent to 212 former gram panchayat members of the gram panchayat. Such information was given by Ayush Prasad, Chief Executive Officer of Pune Zilla Parishad.
Before being incorporated into the Pune Municipal Corporation, 20 gram panchayats were recruited in a bogus manner. To investigate this, a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the then Women and Child Development Officer Dattatray Munde. This committee has submitted its report to the Chief Executive Officer.

Administrators were appointed in these village panchayats, then employees were recruited outside the rules. This has been claimed in the report. Based on this, 14 gram sevaks and 2 agriculture officers have been suspended. In these 20 grampanchayats, information about the recruitment of 658 people before being included in the Pune Municipal Corporation has come to the fore.
