Wardha. The local crime team nabbed the accused who had committed two-wheeler theft at various places along with a friend. Eight two-wheelers worth about Rs 2 lakh 48 thousand were confiscated from the accused. At present, one of the accused is absconding and his search is on. According to the information, on December 20, at 12.30 pm, Ashish Ashok Dhole (43), a resident of Kathane Layout, had gone to Gol Bazar to fetch vegetables after parked a two-wheeler of MH 32 S 8021 number in Dutt Mandir Chowk. When he returned after some time, he did not see the two wheeler. After that, he filed a complaint in the city police station.
Two wheeler stolen from Pulgaon seized
Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against the unknown thief. The investigation of the case was started by the local crime team branch. During this, on the basis of information, Rohit Dongre, a resident of Nagpur, was arrested from Pulgaon with a stolen two-wheeler. On rigorous interrogation, accused Rohit told that he stole 7 two-wheelers from Khamla, Pratapnagar, Beltarodi, Butibori, Hingna premises in four months after being released from jail along with his friend Pranav Sanjay Thackeray, a resident of Khamla. On this basis, the police seized seven two-wheelers. A total of 8 vehicles were seized in this action. Both the accused being two-wheeler theft criminals, a case is registered against them in the police stations Beltarodi, Sonegaon, Pratapnagar, Yavatmal.
Search continues for the second absconding accused
One accused has been arrested, while the search for the other accused is on.
