New Delhi/Mumbai. According to another big news, amidst the big debate and controversy about Hijab, now Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray has also come out with his reaction on this. Yes, Aditya says in this regard that in schools, students should only focus on studies, not all these controversies. On the hijab controversy, Aditya said, “Uniform for school and college is decided and it should be followed. In the centers of education, the focus should be only on education. Religious and political issues should not be brought in schools and colleges.
Significantly, in Karnataka, there has been a lot of controversy about wearing hijab in college. At the same time, there has been a debate across the country on this issue and all the political parties are seen fulfilling their political targets on this.
Know what is controversy
In fact, in the government college of Udupi, Karnataka, in the month of January, 6 Muslim girl students were stopped from sitting in the class wearing hijab. The college cited the uniform policy as the real reason, after which the girl students filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court, arguing that not allowing them to wear the hijab was a violation of their fundamental right under Articles 14 and 25 of the Constitution.
Here, during the hearing of this petition, Justice Krishna Dixit said, “If we walk for reasons, we will follow the law.” Not out of anyone’s passion or feelings. Will do what the constitution says. The Constitution is the Bhagavad Gita for us. I have taken an oath to follow the Constitution. Put your feelings aside. We can’t see all this happening everyday.”
Here, the Karnataka government has already clarified that wearing hijab and saffron gamchha is absolutely not allowed in classes. He said that the government will follow the order of the High Court and when the government has ordered to clarify the rules regarding uniform, then it is not proper at all to take the law into their own hands.
