In connection with the violence that took place during the Tractor rally of farmers on 26 January in the national capital, Noida police charged sedition and others against eight people including Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and news anchor Rajdeep Sardesai A case has been registered on charges. All these people have been lodged in Noida, Sector 20 police station of Uttar Pradesh for inciting riots and spreading violence through posts on social media.
This FIR (First Information Report) has been lodged in Noida’s Sector 20 police station on the complaint of a social worker. It has been alleged in the complaint that these people ran unconfirmed news and tweet related to violent farmer protests in Delhi on 26 January. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone I) Rajesh S told that a social worker named Arpit Mishra has lodged a report in Sector 20 police station.
He said the names of eight people in the FIR, including Rajdeep Sardesai, Mrinal Pande, Mr Zafar Agha, Paresh Nath, Anant Nath and Vinod Jose Have been taken. The police officer said that apart from Bhadansam in the FIR, charges have been made under various sections of the Information Technology Act. Noida police are investigating the case by filing a case.
In the complaint to the police, Arpit Mishra said that he lives with the family in Sector 74 Supertech Cape Town.
