Citizens were getting relief from the second wave of Corona that once again in the third wave of Corona, Omicron Variant has knocked in Maharashtra. To provide relief to the residents of Aurangabad from the third wave, the Municipal Administration has given a massive impetus to the Corona Vaccination Campaign. Despite this, more than 50 percent of the city’s citizens have still not vaccinated. Taking strict steps to ensure that every citizen should be vaccinated, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Astik Kumar Pandey has decided to collect a fine of Rs.
In the order issued by the Municipal Administrator Pandey on Monday evening, the World Health Organization has declared the fever spreading due to the COVID virus as an infectious disease. The spread of corona is spreading rapidly in Maharashtra. To prevent the spread of corona virus, the state government has made rules regarding the Companion Diseases Prohibition Act 1987 in the state with effect from 13th March 2020. In the second wave, patients suffering from COVID-19 are still being found in Aurangabad city. Therefore, the municipal administration has decided to do 100 percent vaccination in the city. So that, the third wave of COVID can be stopped.

Administrator Pandey said that according to the decision decided in the meeting held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Sunil Chavan, after December 15, 2021, those who did not take a single dose of COVID-19, or after taking the first dose, the date of the second dose has passed. Despite not taking the second dose, a fine of Rs 500 will be collected by the Nagari Mitra Dal of the Municipal Corporation. Of this amount, 50 percent will be deposited in the Municipal Corporation and 50 percent in the Police Administration Fund.
Legal action will be taken for protesting
In complying with this order, any person, institution, organization has adopted a policy of avoidance or on opposing, section 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 and section 188 of Indian Penal Code 1860 and Companion Disease Act 1897 against the person concerned. Municipal administrator Astik Kumar Pandey has warned of taking fine / legal action. He appealed to the citizens to immediately cooperate with the Municipal Corporation by applying corona vaccine.
