Wardha. Heavy rain, unseasonal rain and hailstorm caused heavy damage to crops, fruit orchards in the district. On Saturday, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Vijay Wadettiwar took stock of the damage in the departmental commissioner’s office, during which more than 33 percent of the crop was damaged due to bond worms and other diseases. In this context, a proposal of Rs 98 crore 72 lakh was made, which should be given special recognition, as well as a proposal for the loss of some houses has also been proposed in the year 2021. It also demanded recognition from the foster minister Sunil Kedar.
Let us inform that in January, hailstorm and unseasonal rains had knocked in the district, in which a lot of damage to crops was recorded in different areas. In a meeting held in Nagpur, the minister took stock of the damages of some districts.
Crop damage situation reviewed
In Wardha district, huge loss was recorded on cotton crop due to outbreak of bond worm and other diseases, besides natural calamity has disrupted 8 thousand hectare area in the district in the year 2021-22, demanding Rs 3 crore 77 lakh for its loss. In the meeting held with the government, the minister said that according to the standards of state disaster management, the minister said that along with this, he also directed to present proposals for blocked roads, watersheds, electricity poles etc.
No one should be deprived of government help
Animal Promotion and Milk Business Development Minister Sunil Kedar gave instructions to make available funds by approving the proposal soon in the context of crop loss in Wardha district.
