Independence Day 2020: Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) hoisted the tricolour for the 7th consecutive time from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion of 74th Independence Day. Addressing the nation, he gave a clear message of a strong, secure and self-reliant India. In his address, along with the steps taken by the central government for the progress of the nation, some special announcements were also included. Of these, 5 major announcements are as follows…
1. National Digital Health Mission
The most important announcement in PM Modi’s speech was the National Digital Health Mission. PM Modi said that from today a very big campaign National Digital Health Mission is going to start in the country. This will bring a new revolution in India’s health sector. Every Indian will have a health ID under this mission. Whenever an Indian goes to a doctor or drugstore, all the information in the health ID will be there. Everything will be available on your health profile, from a doctor’s appointment to medical advice. This health ID will contain all your information, information about each disease, which doctor gave you which medicine, when, what were your reports, all this information. PM Modi said that the National Digital Health Mission is a completely technology-based initiative.

2. National Infrastructure Pipeline Project
PM Modi said that the overall infrastructure development of the country needs to be given a new direction to move India towards modernity at a fast pace. This need will be met through the National Infrastructure Pipeline Project. The country is moving towards spending more than Rs 100 lakh crore on this. About 7 thousand projects of different sectors have also been identified. It would be like a new revolution in infrastructure. PM Modi said that a very big plan has been prepared to connect the entire country with multi-modal connectivity infrastructure. According to an estimate, India will have to spend $ 4.5 trillion on infrastructure by the year 2030 for a faster economic growth rate.
3. Ofc in every village
In his address, PM Modi said that during Corona’s time we have seen what the role of Digital India campaign has been. Just last month, almost 3 lakh crore rupees have been transacted from BHIM UPI alone. He said that in the coming 1000 days every village of the country i.e. more than 6 lakh villages will be connected with optical fiber. Before 2014, only 5 dozen panchayats in the country were connected with optical fibre. In the last five years, 1.5 lakh gram panchayats in the country have been connected with optical fiber. PM Modi also said that in the next 1000 days, Lakshadweep will also be connected to submarine optical fiber cable. Recently Andaman and Nicobar have been linked to it.

4. New Cyber Security Strategy
PM said that in the changing technology, our dependence on cyber-space is going to increase. There are also dangers in cyberspace. This also threatens the social fabric of the country, our economy and development. India is well aware of this danger and is taking new measures in this direction. Now a new cybersecurity strategy will be brought under this. Its draft has been prepared:
5. NCC Expansion in Border and Coastal Areas
The Prime Minister announced that now the expansion of NCC will be ensured to the 173 border and coastal districts of the country. About 1 lakh new NCC cadets will be given special training under this campaign. In this also, about one-third of the daughters will be given this special training. The army will provide NCC cadets of the border area, Navy to NCC cadets of coastal area and Air Force training to NCC cadets in areas adjoining the airbase.
