Earlier, Dhanraj Shiva Chachane, Gyaneshwar Madhukar Waghade, Sharad Pandurang Malkam, Vikas Gopal Neware and Vilas Ramdas Shikharame were arrested. All these accused were given FCR till January 21. After this, the accused Waghade and Chachane were given forest custody till January 24. While 3 accused have been sent to Bhandara jail in judicial custody.
According to the information, on the morning of January 13, a tiger was seen in a dead state by the forest staff patrolling. He gave this information to the Conservator of Forests and the concerned officials. As soon as the information was received, the Forest Department officials along with the Conservator of Forests Kulrajsing and Honorary Wildlife Conservator Mukund Dhurve, Sawan Bahekar etc. reached the spot. During the investigation, the jaw and nails of the dead tiger were found missing. The forest department had expressed the possibility of the tiger being hunted by electric current. Tiger’s Panchnama was done. The age of the said tiger was said to be 4 years. The Forest Department has given 25 thousand rupees to catch the accused. was rewarded. In this case, under the guidance of Forest Department officials, two tiger teeth, jaw bone, other teeth and ax used to cut the parts were seized from the accused.
The accused Dhanraj Shiva Chachane and Gyaneshwar Waghade carried electric current through a wire from the electric pump supply meter near the private farm of Dr. Ulhas Godegone during the night of January 11 from 7 to 8 pm. This flow is about one and a half km in open space. was done in the forest. Due to which the tiger came in the grip of electric current and died.
On the second day, the alleged accused had hidden two tiger teeth and ax near the farm at 5 in the morning. All the accused arrested in this case are for eating the meat of wild boar and other wild animals. In this case, investigation action is started under the section of Wildlife Protection Act 1972.
In this case, under the guidance of Deputy Conservator of Forest Kulrajsing and Assistant Conservator of Forests of Tendu Camp, U. Gotefode, Field Assistant of Gondia Forest Department, RD Rane of Arjuni Morgaon, Forest Guard L.S.Chole, R.R.U. Mithun Chavan, Amol Choubey, Satish Shendre, Shravan Dhanaskar, Sunil Shedke, Prakash Pathode etc. have taken investigation action.
