These days the cases of cyber fraud are increasing a lot, citizens are being cheated on sites like online banking, social media, ATM, credit card, OLX, in the year 2021, about 46 cases of online fraud have been registered in cyber cell, in which 1 crore Cyber thieves have been reported to have blown 61 lakh rupees, the cyber cell of the police has called upon the citizens to be careful while doing such online transactions.
Let us tell you that online transactions have increased a lot since the last few years, cyber thieves are taking advantage of this, people are shown temptations through various social sites, taking them into confidence and getting OTP, money is taken from the bank account. Kindly do online shopping by getting OTP on credit card.

In the year 2021, about Rs 1 crore 61 lakh has been blown through various social sites and online frauds, a case has been registered in about 46 such cases, in which online fraud, job temptation, fake offers on social media, online shopping, olx fraud, online banking About 23 lakh 61 thousand rupees were collected by threatening defamation on the social site, 1.10 lakh rupees were cheated by online shopping, there is information about blowing about 2.90 lakh rupees by showing the temptation of jobs.

As soon as the online fraud case is registered, the cyber police investigates the case through technical resources, focusing on all aspects, brings back the victim’s money. Last year under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Prashant Holkar, Additional Superintendent of Police Yashwant Solanki, LCB PI Sanjay Gaikwad , API Mahendra Ingle and team brought back about 96 lakh 84 thousand rupees of online fraud.
Blackmailing through social sites
Along with online fraud, cases of sexual blackmailing through social sites like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp etc. have also come to the fore in the district. But be careful while befriending an unknown person, in the name of girls, anyone does obscene chats, calls for objectionable photos and videos, after which the concerned is blackmailed.
