Chandrapur, Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd., which comes under Bhadravati tehsil, should immediately acquire the agricultural land of the project victims of Kiloni coal block of Bangalore Pranit Integrated Baranj Open Cast Mines, otherwise the memorandum of demand for permission for euthanasia has been sent to the President. 37 project victims including Dilip Mandre, Mohan Dudhe, Suryakant Gaurkar, Rakesh Dudhe, Pawan Mandhare have demanded euthanasia with the President.
Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd. at this location is owned by the Government of Karnataka. There is an open coal mine in the Baranj Mokasa area called Bangalore. Since the year 2007, this mine has been in the field of Karnataka Emta Coal Mines Ltd. The name was going on. Presently, Integrated Barrage is functioning under the name Open Cast Mines. This mine has an extension in 5 coal blocks. In which Baranj, Manora (Baranj), Chichordi, Kiloni and Manora Deep are included in these 5 blocks. At present, coal mining is started from Kiloni block. Kiloni Coal Block It is between Baranj and Chichordi village. Out of this, coal mining is started in Baranj area. Chinchordi This area comes under Bhadravati municipal area. The company is hesitant to buy this land due to high government price of agricultural land in this area.
Project-prone farm land holders are contacting public representatives, company and government level through correspondence and discussion to edit the land for the last 14 years. But their demands are being ignored. Due to the proximity of coal mines to agriculture, it is becoming difficult to do farming due to pollution and dust and due to lack of irrigation facilities. Due to the coal mine, this farm land has not been able to take crops. Blasting has become a threat to life due to the stones and pieces of coal flying in the air.
In this context, public representatives, administration officers and company administration are not ready to pay attention. After all, 37 stricken farm land holders have demanded permission for euthanasia if justice is not received within 15 days.
