Bhiwandi : Bhiwandi Crime Branch Police has succeeded in seizing a huge consignment of Gelatin and Detonator from Eco Car on River Naka. The Crime Branch team has arrested 3 people in the car.
It may be noted that in view of the municipal elections to be held in the coming month, the police is taking precautions regarding security. Police checking is being done on major roads of the city on the instructions of Bhiwandi Deputy Commissioner of Police Yogesh Chavan. According to the information received from the police, Bhiwandi Crime Branch Police Senior Police Inspector Sachin Gaikwad had received information from the informer about the sale of explosives in Bhiwandi. Based on the information received from the informer, the Bhiwandi Crime Branch team stopped the Maruti Eco car number MH-04/FZ-9200 by laying a trap on the river naka in which 3 people were sitting. Police teams searched the car and recovered 1000 Nos of Gelatin Rod and 1000 Nos of Detonator Rod.

The police team arrested Maruti Alpesh alias Balya Hiraji Patil (34, Apti Khurd, Taluka Vikramgad), Pankaj Achhelal Chauhan (23, Vikramgad), and Sameer alias Samya Ramchandra Vedga (27, Vedgepada, Vikramgad) in the car.
