Lakhandur. During the afternoon, there was an incident of wild boar attacking and injuring 3 women who went for farming in their own field at 3 different places of the farm area. The said incident took place on January 9 at 12 noon in Sarandi (Bu) Khet area of Tehsil. In this attack, three women including Parbata Ganpat Jiritkar (50), Rekha Ramdas Raut (38) and Subhadra Baburao Kuthe (55), residents of Sarandi (Bu) were seriously injured.
According to the information received, during the morning of the incident, the woman Sarandi (Bu), who was injured in the pig attack, was doing farming work in her own 3 different places in the farm area. During this, a wild boar straying from the forest area attacked the women doing farming work at 3 different places.
However, all three women have been seriously injured in the attacks by pigs on 3 different women at 3 different places from interval to interval. As soon as the villagers including the families of the injured women came to know about this incident, they immediately reached the spot and took the injured women to the local primary health center for treatment.
But due to non-availability of health officers and staff at the local Sarandi (Bu) health center, he has been admitted to the rural hospital in Lakhandur for further treatment. All the three women injured in this attack have suffered serious injuries on their legs.
The said incident has been registered with the local Lakhandur police. Meanwhile, the villagers, including the families of the women injured in the wild boar attack, have demanded compensation from the government for the injured.
