Aurangabad: Member of Parliament Imtiaz Jaleel expressed displeasure over the delay in supply of water to Aurangabad city under Maharashtra Suvarna Jayanti Narogothan Mahabhiyan program under the Rs 1680 crore scheme. Due to the serious problem of drinking water for the citizens of Aurangabad city, MP Imtiaz Jaleel has written a letter to the Chief Engineer, Maharashtra Life Authority on 9th December 2021 seeking information about the current status of the work. According to MP Imtiaz Jalil, if the water supply work is not completed within the stipulated time and the ambitious plan like parallel water supply is delayed, then the citizens of Aurangabad city will once again be deprived of getting enough water on time. Municipal Corporation Administrator Astik Kumar Pandey has also been informed about appropriate action through a letter.

MP Imtiaz Jalil has said in a letter that under the Maharashtra Swarna Jayanti Urban Development Abhiyan, there is a plan of one crore rupees. The water supply works sanctioned under this scheme were given to the concerned people for quality work within the stipulated time subject to the terms and conditions mentioned in the contract. However, it is mentioned in the letter that the work is being done not within the stipulated time mentioned in the work order given by the government but as per the wish of the contractor.
