Nashik: There is happy news for the residents of Nashik and Pune. The work of Nashik Pune Rail Route has started at a fast pace. In this project, an amount of 100 crores of the first installment has been transferred to the District Magistrate for land acquisition. This is a total project of Rs 16,039 crore. This rail route will benefit Ahmednagar and Nashik along with Pune.
A total of 235 km long railway line will be laid for the Nashik-Pune Semi High Speed Railway project. This rail line will pass through Nashik, Nagar, Pune district. There will be a total of 24 stations in this route. On the starting of this train, the distance between Nashik-Pune will be covered in about two and a half hours. Route measurement, search report and geotechnical survey work has been completed for this project. The work of this route was reviewed by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar a few days ago.

Where will land acquisition happen?
Action has been initiated on the proposal presented by the Railways regarding land acquisition. This railway line will pass through four talukas of Haveli, Khed, Junnar and Ambegaon in Pune district. For this 575 hectares of land will be acquired. Land acquisition has also been done in Nashik and Nagar districts. Crores of rupees will be spent on these works. Out of this, the district magistrate’s office has got the fund of 100 crores of the first installment. The land acquisition in this project is being opposed by the farmers. Due to land acquisition, farmers will suffer in many ways like animal rearing projects, houses, platforms, borewells, wells and many more. Because of this farmers are opposing this high speed railway project.
When will the project be completed
Only Rs 100 crore has come for the Nashik Pune High Speed Train. It is difficult to tell at the moment when the project will start at this pace. If there is a delay in getting the funds in the coming days, then the cost of the project may increase and it may remain pending for a long time.
