Bhiwandi : Road accidents are increasing in the city due to the carelessness of the drivers. During 24 hours in the city, 1 person died and 3 people were seriously injured in 4 road accidents at different places. The concerned police station is investigating after registering a case of road accident.
According to the information received, in the first incident of road accident, Rajendra Arvind Sali (53, Khadakpada Kalyan), resident of Sarvali Pada under Kongaon police station, died on the spot due to a serious head injury due to a collision with an unknown vehicle. On the complaint of Darshan Sali, son of the deceased Rajendra Sali, the police is looking for the absconding driver after registering a case.

In the second incident of road accident, Sangeeta Rajkumar Kesharwani (55) was hit by a speeding car near Saibaba temple and hit Sangeeta Kesarwani on foot. Sangeeta is injured after being hit by a car and is forced to undergo treatment. A complaint about the accident has been lodged at Shantinagar police station.
Search for absconding tempo driver
In the third incident of road accident, a 10-year-old boy who was eating Vadapav standing near a cart in the evening at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, Nizampur Police Station, was hit by a Wagnar car, injuring him seriously. Maruti Tanaji Patil, the father of the injured child, has filed a complaint against the unknown car driver. In the fourth incident of road accident, Ashok Arjun Lingayat (45), resident of Narpoli police station area, was going near the entrance of Rahnal village when suddenly Eicher tempo hit Ashok, injuring him badly. The tempo driver fled after the accident. Police are looking for the absconding tempo driver after registering a case. Conscious citizens of the city have urged the police department to crack down on negligent drivers to curb road accidents.
