Nagpur. Information about the seating of 1 dozen bogus candidates has come to the fore in the police recruitment taken by the City Police. Soon this racket will be exposed. At present, the police have arrested 2 accused who in their place had given huge amount of money to bogus candidates to take the exam. Police has arrested 2 youths from Aurangabad. The Gittikhadan police registered a case on the complaint of Milind Tayde, API of the Human Resources Department. The arrested accused include Jaipal Karbhari Kankarwal and Arjun Sulane (22), residents of Vaijapur, Aurangabad. Apart from these two, the names of Vishal Lakhwal, Mithun Gabrusingh Bamnavat and Tejas Jadhav, residents of Vaijapur Aurangabad have also come up in the preliminary investigation.
It is noteworthy that the recruitment process was conducted by the City Police from 28 October to 9 December. During this examination was taken for the post of constable, driver and jail guard. The police got information about the examination by bogus candidates in the physical and written examination for the post of constable.
Hall ticket and CCTV footage checked
Based on the information, the hall tickets, CCTV footage and signatures deposited in the examination centers were scrutinized. Then it came to know that the candidates had sent bogus candidates who looked like themselves to take the examination at the centre. Mithun Bamnavat was assigned the task by Jaipal and Arjun Sulane. Jaipal alone gave Rs 13 lakh to Mithun to pass the examination instead of him. The police suspect that a big racket is behind this.
At present, only 2 candidates are in the hands of the police. The accused who took the examination in their place will also be arrested soon. Information is coming out that at least 1 dozen candidates have seated bogus candidates. Only after the arrest of the other accused, it will be known who contacted the candidates and how.
