Stock Market Closed today on Diwali Bali Pratipada: Today (November 5) on the occasion of Diwali Bali Pratipada, the domestic stock markets BSE and NSE will remain closed. There will also be no trading in the forex market and commodity market. Both BSE and NSE will now resume trading on Monday 8 October. However, trading will start in the commodity market after 5 pm. Multi Commodity Exchange and National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange will remain closed till 5 pm today. After 5 pm, trading will start here and in the evening deals can be taken in the contract. There will be business till 11:30/11:50 pm.
In a five-day long festival, the day after Diwali is Bali Pratipada or Bali Padwa. Asura King Bali is worshiped on this day. It is celebrated to celebrate the victory of Vamana avatar of Lord Vishnu over the demon king Bali and the arrival of Bali on earth. This day marks the beginning of the Gujarati New Year.

During the one-hour Muhurta trading, initially there was a buying trend in almost all the stocks on the Sensex, although four stocks closed with a fall when the market closed. The investor sentiment was positive due to the bullish trend in the Asian market. Apart from this, there was a buying trend in banking, IT and auto stocks, which supported the market. Due to all this, the Sensex rose by 295.70 points to 60,067.62 and the Nifty closed at 17,916.80 with a gain of 87.60 points.

Today, except ICICI Bank, there was a buying trend in other banking stocks on the Sensex. On the other hand, the indices of all sectors on Nifty closed with gains. Nifty Auto was the biggest gainer of 1.48 percent today. 26 stocks on Sensex and 39 stocks on Nifty closed with gains. Eicher Motors was up nearly 6 per cent.
