Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana: The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his first term, in which the goal of village-to-village development has been set! This scheme was conceived to transform the villages and make the facility complete!
Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana
Under this scheme, each member of Parliament is given the responsibility to develop institutional and physical infrastructure in three villages by the year 2019! The Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana was established to develop three villages by 2019! After which five ideal villages have developed! The objective of this scheme is to develop various model villages and achieve the objectives besides developing infrastructure! Which is still being worked on!
According to the government data, 38,021 of these projects have been completed under the Sansad Gram Yojana. Which is 56 percent of the total project! This plan was mentioned in the address on the occasion of Independence Day from Red Fort in 2014! The scheme was launched on 11 October 2014!
Present Situation
It can be seen about 10 years after the launch of the scheme and according to the existing data! That this plan is getting a little relaxed! Friends are seeing less enthusiasm about this scheme! For the development of villages under the fourth phase of the scheme, two-thirds of the Lok Sabha MPs have not yet elected Village Assembly from their parliamentary constituency. The current number of members in both houses of Parliament is 790!
Whereas only 252 members from both the houses have shared the list of selected Village Assembly so far! 208 of which are from Lok Sabha and 44 from Rajya Sabha. At the beginning of this plan, the enthusiasm was seen in the MPs! Now that enthusiasm is lacking. In the first phase of the scheme where 703 MPs of Lok Sabha participated!
At the same time, their number has reduced to only 497 in the second phase and only 301 in the third phase! The current Lok Sabha member number is 545! 543 members representing the people of different regions of India by-election and 2 members nominated! Those who have been given the responsibility of this scheme! With this, the Rajya Sabha has 245 members! Out of which 12 MPs form part of this house through nomination process! Currently, this House of Parliament has 240 members! While 5 seats are still vacant!
