Amravati. Under the Prime Minister’s Micro Food Industry and other schemes, now the orange crop has also been approved in the self-reliant India package, subsidized by the Central Government. This scheme will be run till the year 2024-25. For this, 27 targets have been set in different sections of the district. Under which 50 percent of the cost of branding oranges and transporting goods to the market will be given as a grant.
Assistance up to Rs 10 lakh
Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provided to individual, savings group and farmer producer company, farmer group, cooperative producer organizations for industries related to agricultural process. In this, 35 percent of the cost of the project, grants and facilities, will be provided at a discount of 50 percent. There is a provision to provide assistance up to Rs 10 lakh under the scheme.
For the assistance of more than this, approval can be given by the Central Government. This kind of information was given by District Agriculture Officer Kharchan. In the context of new industries, individual and voluntary organizations, farmer producer companies, cooperatives and groups doing industries based on orange crop will be able to take advantage of this scheme.
40 thousand seeds, aid for equipment
Only orange based industries will be assisted under Pradhan Mantri Micro Yojana. Along with this, under the Prime Minister’s Micro Food Industry Scheme, the members associated with the voluntary organization will be given seeds worth up to 40 thousand rupees. Apart from this, assistance will also be given for the purchase of small equipment. Applicants can take advantage of this scheme by applying through online mode. Assistance in this regard can also be given from the local agriculture office.
