The third phase of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 3.0) started on Friday.

PMKVY 3.0: The third phase of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 3.0) started on Friday. Under this, the skills of the youth of the country will be taught for employment. More than 300 skill courses will be available to the youth under this scheme. The PMKVY 3.0 scheme started in the presence of the Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Mahendra Nath Pandey. Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship RK Singh was also present in this program. Under PMKVY 3.0, eight lakh people will be trained during the period 2020-21 of the scheme. It will cost Rs 948.90 crore.

There is a focus on making skill development more demand based under PMKVY 3.0, the flagship scheme of Skill India Mission of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The ministry said in a statement that a new initiative has been started by adding district skills committees to PMKVY 3.0. The objective of the third phase of this scheme is to strengthen District Skills Committees (DSCs) as well as to promote demand based skill development.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said in a statement that PMKVY 3.0 has been started in 717 districts of 28 states and eight union territories. This is another step towards self-reliant India. The statement said that the scheme will be implemented in a more decentralized manner and states / union territories and districts will have more responsibility in it. The statement said that while the National Education Policy focuses on vocational training, PMKVY 3.0 will provide vocational training to the youth at the initial level, so that they will be able to take advantage of opportunities related to the industry. Addressing the program, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Pandey said that if the youth get the right guidance and training, then the youth will be able to achieve mastery in their respective fields.

What is unique about the scheme

No fee is charged for the training of PMKVY. PMKVY registers for 3 months, 6 months and 1 year. After completing the course, you get a certificate, which is recognized all over the country. After training, the government also helps in getting jobs through employment fairs. If you are less educated or have a school dropout, then this training can be very useful. Your training is evaluated by the SSC approved assessment agency. On the basis of which government certificate and skill card is available.

9th round of talks between farmers’ organizations and government also inconclusive, next meeting on 19 January

How to register in PMKVY?

To enroll in the Prime Minister’s Skill Development Scheme, the applicant will have to go to https://pmkvyofficial.org and give his name, address and email information. After filling the form, the applicant has to select the technical field in which he wants to train.
