    PM Fasal Bima Yojana Beneficiary: Under the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme of the Central Government, farmers are also paid full price for their lost crops. But many farmers do not know about this. And they are not able to get the cost of their bad crop under the PM Crop Insurance Scheme. At the same time, it will also tell how farmers can get the cost of their bad crops. Farmers get many types of benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Scheme.

    Presently, in many areas of the country, due to the rains, the distance of the farmers has been spoiled. And in many areas, due to drought, the distance has become bad. Due to this farmers have suffered a lot of financial loss. In such a situation, farmers will be given the cost of the crop under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Scheme by the Center Government. Those farmers who pay the premium every year under the PM Crop Insurance Scheme. Only they will be given the cost of the crop in this plan. This crop Bima Yojana (PM Fasal Bima Yojana PMFBY) has provided a lot of benefit to farmers.

    Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January 2016. The objective of starting this scheme is to provide the farmers with the cost of their crops in times of emergency. Many times the crop of farmers gets spoiled in APDAO. Due to which they suffer a lot of damage.

    Risks Covered in Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme

    1. Post-harvest damage cover – cyclone and cyclonic rain and unseasonal rain after harvesting
    2. Steep crops (from sowing to harvesting) – non-preventable risks such as drought, famine, floods, inundation, pests and diseases, landslides, natural fires and lightning, storms, hail, cyclones, storms etc.
    3. For crops that have been damaged due to less rain
    4. Pmfby also benefits for bad crops due to excessive rain.

    How to avail crop insurance plan?

    To get the cost of your lost crops in times of disaster under the Prime Minister’s Fasal Bima Yojana PMFBY Farmers have to pay a premium in this scheme. In Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Scheme, Kharif and Rabi have to be deposited as separate premium for the crops.

    Farmers get 2% more for Kharif crop insurance. An insurance plan of 1.5% has to be paid for the insurance of Rabi crops. This Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Scheme of the Central Government not only provides protection to the crops of Rabi and Kharif. Rather, this scheme (PM Crop Insurance Scheme) also provides protection to horticultural crops. However, farmers have to pay 5% of the premium amount for the insurance of horticultural crops. The government will distribute a sum of Rs 550 crore to the farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PM Fasal Bima Yojana PMFBY) for lost crops.
