The scheme will be implemented under the Union Ministry
SVAMITVA scheme is central government scheme. The nodal agency to implement this is the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. To implement it in the states, the Revenue Department or Land Records Department has been made the nodal department which will implement this scheme in collaboration with the State Department of Panchayati State. The Survey of India will act as a technical partner in implementing this scheme.
Will help to reduce the legal dispute of the land
Under this scheme, the demarcated areas of the village will be demarcated with the help of drone survey technique. With this, the people living in the village will get the records of their property. Through these records, they will be able to use their assets as financial assets and can take loans or other financial facilities from the bank. This scheme will provide accurate land figures for the rural scheme and will help the government in estimating property tax. Apart from this, it will help in reducing legal disputes related to land.

According to the information given by the PMO, under the scheme, 1.32 lakh people will be able to download their land papers through an SMS link. In the first phase, 763 villages of six states will get the benefit of the scheme. It has 346 villages from Uttar Pradesh, 221 Haryana, 100 Maharashtra, 44 Madhya Pradesh, 50 Uttarakhand and 2 Karnataka. SMS link will be sent to states other than Maharashtra to download their land documents within a day. There is a fee on the property card in Maharashtra, so it can take up to a month there.
No record of ownership of residential property yet
There is a record of the cultivated land of the village in Khasra-Khatauni. However, there is no record on the basis of ownership of residential property of the villages. Through this scheme, it will be measured by measuring the ownership of every residential property.
