Administration is in the direction of providing employment to workers
Under this Birsa Green Village Scheme, a total of 546 acres of land in the district have been targeted for horticulture of mixed fruits like mango, lemon, guava. The MLA also informed about the government efforts being made for water conservation. Block Development Officer Arvid Kumar said that the objective of MNREGA is to make farmers and villagers self-reliant with employment generation. Informed that work is being done under Birsa Green Village Scheme on 65.60 acres of 72 beneficiaries in Chandwa Block. The administration is trying to provide employment to the workers by successful implementation of other schemes including MNREGA.
Appeal to farmers to take advantage of this scheme
The farmers were appealed to take advantage of government schemes. JMM Block President Suresh Ganjhu, Sudama Prasad, MLA Representative Prabhat Kumar, Rajkumar Sahu, City Vice President Naveen Sinha, Raju Prasad, Dipu Sinha, Youth Leader Ankit Pandey, Vishal Kumar, Dayanand Pandey, Shyam Sunder Yadav, Ranjit Kumar, Bablu Rahi , Jatru Munda, Ritesh Kumar, Bajesh Pathak, among others were present. It was also told that under the Birsa Green Village Scheme, the work of digging the pit will no longer be done. Plantation work will be done in the dug pit.
Rural Development Department gave necessary instructions to districts
In this regard, the Rural Development Department has given necessary instructions to the districts. Departmental officials say that digging the pit will no longer be of any benefit. It has started raining Plantation work must be completed before the rain ends. Therefore, it is necessary to do this work on priority basis. Instructions have been given to plant saplings in all the pits. Therefore, plantation work has started in many districts.
A worker has to plant saplings every day
Departmental officials under this Birsa Green Village Yojana told that special attention has to be paid to the transportation and maintenance of the plant. The plant has to be kept in a safe place for two to three days before planting. Also, spraying of insecticide is where the plant will be kept. It has also been told that the amount of manure filled with pits for planting the plant has been asked to mix well in the soil. Under the rule, a laborer working under MGNREGA has to plant 25 mango plants or 30 timber plants per workday. For the plant not to be broken by rain, it also has to be sieged.
Work started in 4163 Panchayats
Please tell that there are 4562 panchayats in 24 districts of the state. Out of these, work has started in 4163 panchayats under Birsa Green Village Scheme. According to departmental information, 33,644 works have been selected at the individual and community level. Plantation work has started at these places. Fruitful trees will be planted under the scheme. It will also be the responsibility of the person or community to plant it.
