    Under this scheme, 6.8 percent interest is being given, in which PM Modi’s 843124 rupees are engaged.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently announced his assets. According to this, till 30 June 2020, PM Modi’s assets are 2.85 crores. One of the savings schemes that PM has invested in, is also the National Savings Certificate (NSC) of the post office. PM Modi’s investment in this is 843124 rupees. Today we are telling you about this scheme, so that you too can earn profit by investing in it.

    Get more interest than FD

    In this scheme, FD is getting more interest than a fixed deposit. Currently, 6.8 percent interest is being paid under this scheme. In this post office scheme, you have to invest a minimum of 1000 rupees. You can invest any amount in NSC. There is no maximum investment limit. The lock-in period of NSC is 5 years old.

    Who can invest in NSC?

    An 18-year-old can invest in NSC on his own or on behalf of a minor. This account can also be opened jointly in the name of 3 adults.

    Can open account in the name of children too

    In this scheme, accounts can also be opened in the name of children. If the child is less than 10 years old, an account can be opened by the parents in his name. At the age of 10, a child can operate his own account, while being an adult, he gets full responsibility of the account.

    Income tax rebate is also available

    You can claim tax exemption under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act on all the money you invest in the National Savings Certificate. By investing in it, you can claim a tax rebate of up to Rs 1.5 lakh in a financial year.

    NSC account can be transferred to another person

    NSC can be transferred from one person to another. NSCs can be transferred from one person to another in the name of a person between the time of issue and the maturity date.

    How to invest?

    If you want to invest in this scheme, then you can open an account for it by going to any post office. India Post has over 1.5 lakh post offices across the country. You can open an account anywhere.
