Collector Sunil Chavan gave instructions to the officials, said – speed up the work of the new water supply scheme

Aurangabad: A new water supply project worth Rs 1,680 crore is being implemented to provide abundant water to Aurangabad city. Aurangabad city is developing rapidly day by day. Work is in full swing on the new water supply scheme for the expansion of Aurangabad city and to provide abundant water to its citizens.

District Collector Sunil Chavan today directed the officials to expedite the work under the scheme to provide adequate water to the citizens of the area. Collector Chavan was given details of all the ongoing works under the scheme by Ajay Singh, Executive Engineer, Maharashtra Life Authority. District Chavan inspected the present condition of the newly constructed five lakh liters and 664 meters height after the main balancing tank, 11.57 team main balancing tank, works of 392 team capacity water treatment centers, pipeline manufacturing factory required for new water supply scheme. He also directed the Coordinator of GVPR company Prakash Avdhute to start the work on the pipes soon. The District Collector inspected all the works under the scheme and also inspected the old main balancing tanks supplying water to the city.

The officers and employees of Maharashtra Life Authority were present on the occasion. It is worth mentioning that to solve the serious drinking water problem of the city, the state government has taken up the work of 1680 crore scheme. State Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, District Guardian Minister Subhash Desai, Municipal Commissioner Astik Kumar Pandey are trying hard to complete the scheme at the earliest.
