Economic relief to 32.32 crore people
The central government has sent money to 32.32 crore people under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana. A total amount of Rs 29,352 crore has been allocated to these crores of people so far. At the same time, under the Jan Dhan Yojana, an amount of Rs 9930 crore has been sent to the bank accounts of 19.86 crore women account holders. Not only this, the central government had also announced assistance to the farmers of the country during the lockdown, after which Rs 14946 crore has been sent to 7.47 crore farmers under the PM Kisan Yojana. Explain that under this scheme, the government sends Rs 6,000 to farmers in three installments annually, which goes to the accounts of 2,000 for three times.
PM Garib Kalyan Yojana: Pension sent to crores of people
Under this scheme, pension of Rs 1405 crore has been sent to 2.82 crore people. These include widow pension, pension amount to senior citizens and disabled persons, which are sent directly to their bank accounts. Also, laborers working in construction sector have also been helped. Financial assistance of Rs. 3071 has been given to 2.17 crore such laborers.
Poor got free ration
The central government has also given ration to the poor under the relief package of Garib Kalyan Yojana. So far 2.65 lakh metric tonnes of ration has been given to 5.29 crores people through PM Garib Food Scheme. Explain that the government had announced to give free ration to the poor, so that they would not be disturbed by the food crisis in the lockdown. Not only this, the government also distributed a total of 20.11 lakh tonnes of ration. Apart from rationing, the most important thing is to support people, such as gas cylinders. Under the Ujjwala scheme, 97.8 lakh cylinders were delivered to the needy.
Application for PM Garib Kalyan Yojana
No process has been made separately to apply for PM Garib Kalyan Yojana. The scheme came after demonetisation in November 2016. Under this scheme, a 50 per cent tax exemption was fixed for those who disclosed their undisclosed income. Also, a rule was made to keep 25 percent of this amount with the government for 4 years. The government will return this amount after 4 years without any interest. The government had said that the same amount would be spent in welfare schemes by keeping it in the Poor Welfare Scheme Fund.
