Lucknow: Kanya Sumangala Yojana, the golden scheme of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is proving effective for daughters. Under this scheme started from April 2019, 10 lakh 93 thousand daughters are getting direct benefits. The girl students studying in primary, upper primary, secondary and higher education are getting benefit from this scheme. With the efforts of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 1 lakh 1 thousand new girls have been added to Kanya Sumangala Yojana in just six months. To whom an amount of 20 crore 20 thousand was paid by the PM through PFMS.
Manoj Rai, Director, Women’s Welfare and Child Development said that under the scheme, daughters are being given benefits in six categories from birth till they take admission in degree or diploma course. Under which 2000 on the birth of daughter, 1000 on completion of 1 year vaccination, 2000 to girl students enrolled in class I, 2 thousand to girl students enrolled in class 6, 2 thousand to girl students enrolled in class 9 in secondary schools. 3 thousand and one-time assistance of 5000 is being given to girl students who have passed 10th and 12th or graduate or taking admission in diploma course of 2 years or more.

The main objective of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath’s Swarnim Yojana is to remove the evils from the society by strengthening health and education facilities for the daughters in the state. Under this scheme, the work of providing financial help to the newborn girl child by establishing equal sex ratio while curbing female feticide, child marriage is being done in the state. Manoj Kumar Rai has told that through this scheme, we are not only trying to connect the girl child with education, but also making people aware of the evil practices like female feticide and trying to change their thinking.
