PM Jan Dhan Yojana scheme completes 6 years, crores of Jan Dhan account holders will get insurance protection: The Central Government has been engaged in strengthening the poor section of the country since its first term, and to make this effort worthwhile, he first started Jan Dhan Khata Yojana. Under this scheme an amount of Rs 6,000 is sent in three installments to the account of poor people. The next installment under this scheme is to be sent in August. At the same time, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana has been full six years. The scheme was launched in the year 2014.

Jan Dhan Khata Yojana On the occasion of the sixth anniversary, it has been announced by the central government that the government will also provide insurance cover to all the account holders availing Jan Dhan. Under this, they will be brought under the purview of PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana. Under Jan Dhan Khata Yojana, bank accounts of more than 40 crore people of the country have been opened. At the same time, 34.81 crore of these accounts were active this month. On the completion of 6 years of the scheme, the Finance Ministry said in a statement that out of Jan Dhan Khata Yojana, eligible account holders will be provided the facility of Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Suraksha Bima Yojana.

PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana
Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana provides life insurance cover of up to two lakh rupees at a premium of just Rs 330 for one year to bank account holders from 18 to 50 years. In this, if the account holder dies in any way, then this amount is paid to any of his close spouse. Also, the premium amount is deducted directly from the beneficiary’s account every year. On the other hand, Suraksha Bima Yojana is meant for bank account holders aged 18-70 years. It provides accidental death of up to two lakh rupees for a year and disability insurance of up to one lakh rupees for a year at a premium of just Rs 12.
Crores of people benefited from PM Jan Dhan Yojana
On the completion of 6 years of PM Jan Dhan Yojana Yojana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said through a tweet that with the ambitious goal of connecting those who do not have bank accounts, to the banks six years ago today Dhan Yojana was started. This initiative was going to bring significant changes, proved to be the foundation of many poverty alleviation initiatives and it benefitted crores of people. PM Sahab further wrote that thanks to the completion of 6 years of PM Jan Dhan Yojana, due to which the future of many families was secured. Most of them are women from rural areas. I thank those who worked to make this plan a success.
Jan Dhan can only reach the poor through accounts
At the same time, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that 6 years of PM Jan Dhan Yojana, the entire Modi government’s people-centered economy became a strong foundation. He further said that all the work such as providing financial help to the poor in the difficult times of Corona, paying workers’ wages under MNREGA, providing immediate financial help to farmers under PM Kisan Yojana, could be successful only through Jan Dhan accounts.
What is PM Jan Dhan Yojana

Its objective is to bring every Indian who has no bank accounts into the mainstream of banking service. There is a fixed upper limit for deposits.
