Which pensioner has to submit digital life certificate in November, EPFO ​​told

Life Certificate Submission: Every pensioned person has to submit a Life Certificate i.e. Life Certificate in the bank having a pension account in November every year. A life certificate is proof of the pensioner’s survival. If not deposited, the pension can be stopped. But not all pensioners of Employee Provident Fund Organization’s Employee Pension Scheme (EPS) have to submit a life certificate in the month of November. EPFO has tweeted about this.

According to EPFO, pensioners who do not have to submit life certificate in the month of November are-

– whose pension started less than a year ago.
– Those who have submitted life certificate on or after December 2019.

Let us know that EPFO ​​has given the facility to their pensioners that now they can submit online life certificate any time of the year. This will be valid for the next 1 year from the date it is submitted.

If you want to submit a life certificate

Pensioners can submit their life certificate physically or manually by visiting their pension account’s bank branch or any branch. Pensioners can also get life certificate digitally in any branch of their bank, at the nearest post office, through their PC / laptop / mobile, from https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in, from nearest Aadhaar outlet / CSC, through Umang app, EPFO can submit to 135 regional offices and 117 district offices. Recently India Post Payments Bank has started the service of submitting digital life certificate for pensioners from home. EPS pensioners can now submit online requests to avail digital life certificate service from home on payment of nominal fee. A postman from the nearest post office will go to the pensioner’s house and complete the process of preparing a digital life certificate.

Note this point

Aadhaar number, mobile number, pension payment order (PPO) number and account number are required to submit a digitally life certificate. It should also be noted that to submit digital life certificate, it is necessary to have your pension account linked with Aadhaar number. To submit a life certificate in physical form, you can download it from the banks’ website and fill it. For physical submission, you must keep the original PPO, bank passbook, Aadhaar card, photocopy of all these, mobile number, name of Pension Sanctioning Authority. Remember, if the pensioner has been re-employed or the family pensioner has remarried, then the life certificate will be submitted only in the physical format.

For the first time, pensioners who are submitting online life certificates can be registered for digital life certification through the life proof center run by CSC, banks and government offices. If you want, you can download and register the client application on the computer, mobile or tablet. Its full information can be obtained from jeevanpramaan.gov.in. Pensioners can also generate a life certificate on mobile through the Umang app.
