A new facility has been added to the payment platform for customers using BHIM UPI for digital transactions. With the help of this, customers will be able to find out the status of their pending transactions and also file a complaint. NPCI has started ‘UPI Help’ on Bhima UPI. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) said the move was in line with the RBI’s guidelines for creating customer-friendly and transparent redressal systems.
According to the statement issued by NPCI, NPCI has started ‘UPI Help’ on Bhima UPI. Initially, NPCI has introduced this feature on the Bhima app for customers of State Bank of India, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank. According to the release, customers will be able to find out the status of their pending transactions and use UPI Help for transaction-related complaints. The app will also have the facility to complain for merchant transactions.
Paytm Payments Bank will get a facility soon
NPCI has said that customers of Paytm Payments Bank and TJSB Cooperative Bank will also be able to take advantage of UPI-HELP soon. NPCI said that customers of other banks using UPI will also be able to take advantage of this facility in the coming months.
NPCI is the umbrella organization for retail payments and settlement systems in India. Payment products portfolio from NPCI includes Rupee Card, Medium Payment Service (IMPS) and Unified Payments Interface (UPI), Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM), BHIM Aadhaar, National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC Fastag) and Bharat BillPay.
